Rasesh Patel | Bexley Adult | Service user/carer governors

I'm a Service User/Carer Governor representing service user and carer members who use our Bexley Adult Services. I've been a governor since 2024.

With over 25 years of global IT experience, I've transitioned my skills to serve local communities since 2019. My volunteer roles have included vaccinating during the pandemic, championing community initiatives, and contributing to MSK community day projects. As a lived experience member of the MSK board, I'm actively involved in service improvement efforts under the South East London Integrated Care Board. I'm eager to leverage my expertise to enhance patient experiences within local NHS organisations. 

I'm eager to continue my commitment to improving patient experience by serving as a governor. My experience, combined with my passion for community service and first hand experience as a patient, equips me to make a significant impact on the delivery of healthcare services. I'm particularly interested in digital health, patient engagement, or financial sustainability.

As an Oxleas Governor, I enjoy being in a position where I have a stronger voice, to take part in shaping decisions about the quality of care we all receive and what happens to continuously improve services and the worker experience.
