Barefoot Lodge - Bexley

  • Barefoot Lodge is a mixed-gender, 15-bed inpatient open rehabilitation unit for people with significant mental health problems.

The unit provides a comfortable, purpose-built therapeutic environment where individuals with complex mental health receive high-quality care and support. We focus on rehabilitation, recovery and helping patients achieve greater independence.

Our philosophy of care is based on personal recovery. The principal aim is to provide assessment, intervention and rehabilitation for men and women who require intensive inpatient rehabilitation so they can maintain a meaningful life in the community.

We take a positive approach and attempt to help each patient in several ways. This includes:

    • Providing choice
    • Promoting independence
    • Increasing life skills
    • Taking positive risks
    • Social inclusion
    • Making psycho-social interventions

We are part of the South London Partnership (SLP) - a collaboration between South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Southwest London and St Georges NHS Trust and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

  • Address: Barefoot Lodge,  Goldie Leigh Hospital,  Lodge Hill,  Abbey Wood, London, SE2 0AY
