Employment Support Service (IPS) - Bromley and Greenwich

  • The IPS Employment Support service is designed to assist people living with mental health problems in Bromley and Greenwich to find work and live independently in the community. 

    Support is provided through an approach called Individual Placement and Support (IPS). We work with your care coordinators, social workers, psychologists, mental health hub advisors, and doctors to provide personalised, one-to-one support.

    Our employment specialists will work with you to help you find and retain a job that is consistent with your preferences, skills, interests and experience, and also provides support to people who are at risk of losing their jobs.

    This service is provided in partnership with South East London Mind in Bromley and Greenwich.

    This work forms part of NHS England’s Long Term Plan to transform mental health care.

Our team

We are a specialist team of professionals who work together with the secondary mental health services and mental health hubs.

Our aims

We aim to support people living with mental health problems in Bromley and Greenwich to find work and live independently in the community. 

We offer:

  • Full exploration of your employment goals
  • Write and update your CV, cover letter and application forms
  • Provide you with tools for online job seeking
  • Help you prepare for job interviews
  • Support you to keep your job with continued in-work support (time-unlimited support).

How to access this service

To access this service, you must:

  • Be aged 18-64
  • Be accessing support from Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and the Mental Health Hubs.
  • Live in the borough of Bromley and Greenwich

Referrals

To refer into our service please:

  • Speak to your mental health care co-ordinator, your psychologist, therapist or your mental health hub adviser to refer you to the IPS Employment Support Service.
  • Complete our expression of interest card at reception when you visit any of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, Mental Health Hub or South East London Mind locations.
