Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust provides integrated primary care services in six Kent prisons.
Our services include low and high-intensity primary and social care interventions to adults and young offenders. This includes health, education and activity programmes. As well as GP and nurse-led clinics that provide both emergency and planned care and long-term conditions management.
In addition, Oxleas also provides inpatient healthcare services to inmates of HMP Elmley and HMP Swaleside.
Oxleas provides 24-hour nursing care for people who require inpatient admission with physical health, mental health and substance misuse needs. We also care for service users with severe and enduring mental illness who are awaiting transfer to a mental health secure hospital.
How we provide services
As Prime Provider, Oxleas provides over-arching management and services such as nurse-led primary care directly. Sub-contracted partners provide other key services.
