Neuro Rehabilitation Service - Greenwich

  • We help people with acquired neurological impairments to lead a more independent life.

Our aims

We aim to help you be as independent as possible in your daily life. To do this, we work with you wherever is easiest. This can be in your home, in your day centre or at work. We can also work with you, your family, friends or carers.

Our team

We are a multidisciplinary team. This means we are a group of professionals who specialise in different areas of medicine but work together to make decisions about how to care for our patients.

Our team consists of:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Speech and language therapists
  • Community matron
  • Clinical psychologist
  • Therapy assistant practitioners

We work closely with other local services in Greenwich and neighbouring areas. These include GPs, acute hospitals, tertiary specialist centres, leisure services, wheelchair services, social services and other patient organisations.

How to access this service

To access this service, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or above
  • Live in Greenwich
  • Are registered with a GP in Greenwich
  • Have a neurological condition
  • Can participate in rehabilitation. This means you know what you want to work on and are willing to take part in exercises that will help you reach those goals.

Referrals

You can be referred to this service by:

  • Hospital staff
  • Your GP or Consultant Neurologist
  • Another agency you work with
  • Yourself - as long as you have seen us within the previous six months
