The Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Service provides treatment to people in the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich who are suffering from severe psychiatric symptoms of depression.
The ECT service is accredited by ECTAS and operates from new, purpose-built premises. We continue to receive positive feedback from our patients.
In January 2017, the team also started to offer Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (RTMS) treatment. This is a new service for both depression and migraine treatment. It is only available to people with depression who are under Oxleas secondary mental health services and are residents of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.
To access this service, you must:
The clinic accepts referrals from Oxleas clinicians. We also consider external referrals, either from other NHS Trusts or private referrals once the funding has been established and approved.
