Hundreds of colleagues gathered at Charlton Athletic FC for yesterday’s event which was hosted by Oxleas Chief Executive Ify Okocha, Chair Andy Trotter and Medical Director Abi Fadipe.
Fantastic applause greeted all our winners and highly commended teams and individuals as they took to the stage to collect their certificates and prizes.
We received hundreds of nominations from across our services and directorates and the judges had a tough job on their hands to choose the winners. Our new People’s Choice Award, voted for by our members, was hugely popular with more than 4,500 votes cast.
Our annual awards aim to show how colleagues have put our values – we’re kind, we’re fair, we listen, we care – into action to improve lives and service user experience. We also recognised colleagues who have reached a service milestone in our Long Service Awards.
Ify Okocha said:
“Today is all about celebration – celebration of our staff and of the fantastic work you all do for our patients and their families. We have had a lot to celebrate this year, particularly being named Health Service Journal Trust of the Year. But this hasn’t been achieved without a lot of hard work and commitment – I am so proud of all you do, every day, to improve lives and provide outstanding healthcare to those who need us most.”
