Prestigious equality and inclusion award for Carol

Carole Haynes wins SEL equality and inclusion award

Huge congratulations to Carol Haynes, who was named Inspirational Inclusive Leader of the Year at prestigious regional awards promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.

More than 100 nominations were received across seven categories in this year’s South East London Integrated Care System Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Awards.

Carol (pictured left) was a finalist in the Inspirational Leader of the Year category, alongside Greenwich Time to Talk and the South East London Sickle Cell Enhanced Community Pilot, who were finalists in the Community Impact in EDI category.

The winners were announced during the SEL ICS EDI virtual conference and awards week.

Rachel Matheson (pictured right), Acting Joint Service Director for our Adult Community Physical Health Directorate, said:

I am absolutely delighted that Carol has won this award. Her energy, commitment and leadership have made such a positive difference across our directorate, bringing colleagues together through events that celebrate inclusion, culture and wellbeing.

Carol has helped create spaces where people feel valued, represented and able to contribute, and this recognition is so well deserved. Congratulations Carol, we’re all incredibly proud of you.
